Southampton manager Jason Wilcox confirmed advanced negotiations with the Blues in comments reported by Fabrizio Romano: “We had an offer from Liverpool, which we accepted, but then Chelsea came to the table. We are currently in negotiations with Chelsea, I am convinced that something will happen next week”.

The international – 1 selection – of the Red Devils, under contract with Southampton (English D2) until 2027, could be transferred for a sum greater than 50 million euros.
Expected degreasing
