Barça is preparing to experience the last few days of the dizzying market. The Blaugrana club will sign Joao Cancelo in a matter of days and, from there, the objective is to sign up all the available players while waiting to close the arrival of another footballer to help in the offensive field. Ansu’s agent, Jorge Mendes, will land this week in Barcelona once Joao Cancelo’s loan is complete. There is already a pre-agreement between clubs and the last fringes are being ironed out. Mendes is aware that there are two English clubs very interested in signing Ansu, but he is not going to force the situation and it will be the footballer himself who ends up deciding. Up to now, Ansu has closed himself off on a possible march, although it is beginning to be very clear that his role in the team will be absolutely secondary this season. If a top-level club gave him stripes on his team, he might think so.
At Barça they do not hide the fact that the situation is still very difficult, but that anything can happen. Ansu has a long contract with the club and Barça considers him a very important asset, but they are also very clear that he must play because if he continues like this his value will be devalued. There are different options to manage his future and a last-minute loan would not be ruled out, but everything happens because the player shows interest in leaving, since he knows that Barça will not impede him.
The club is managing everything with the utmost caution, although they do not hide the fact that this exit would go very well to reduce tensions in the salary limit and would open the door to one or two more additions at this end of the market. In any case, Barça has warned Jorge Mendes that if Joao Félix wants to come, the only possible way is through the departure of a striker and everything points to Ansu.
