Valhalla Dominates and Claims Victory in Fefarr Flag Football Tournament

The Valhalla team confirmed their favoritism and were undefeated champions of the Fefarr Flag Football Tournament after beating Nornas by 36 to 6 this Sunday (31), at Praça do Centro Cívico, in Boa Vista. The competition organized by the Federation of American Football of Roraima (Fefarr) sought to promote cooperation between teams and prepare them for local and national competitions.

Five Roraima Flag Football teams participated in the state competition: Val’hala, Caçadores, Canaimés, Berserkers and the women’s team Nornas. In the other game of the final round, which gave the title to Valhalla, the Berserkers beat the Canaimés by 26 to 20.

The tournament was played by points in a single group where all teams faced each other in four rounds.

Champion Valhalla’s campaign was perfect: four games and four wins. On the podium, in second, were the Berserkers, who won three games and lost one, followed by the Hunters, who won two, lost one and drew one. Check out the final standings:

According to Muriel Rossetti, president of Fefarr, the objective of the tournament was integration through the participation of teams that, in addition to competing for the title, were also responsible for organizing each round, one team at a time.

– It was the first Federation event in 2023, and we did it in a period when Regional and State games do not take place. In addition to making the teams competitive for the next competitions, we let the teams experience the organization of a tournament, each weekend, a team was responsible for the logistics, structure of the competition and refereeing – said the president, who is also an athlete on the team. Valhalla.

Still according to the president of the entity, the expectation is that in the month of October the Roraimense Flag Football Championship will be held. The five teams must participate in the competition.
