A six-year-old child died on July 4 following a dog attack at a residence in Kentucky, United States.
Daylan Guillen succumbed to his extensive chest injuries a day after the attack, CNN has learned.
One of the dogs in the family is a 3 year old pit bull mix.
“It’s the worst kind of case you could work on,” North Port police officer Josh Taylor told CNN.

Youth League Baseball Secretary Nicole O’Brien spoke emotionally on camera after hearing the news.
“I cried for days. Firstly because I am also a parent, secondly because he is someone we know and thirdly because he is a person on the ground,” she said.

“This kid was amazing. The things he was doing at that age and the understanding of the game he had.
“He was a really happy kid. No problem. He wanted to play all the time,” she recalls.
“It’s so sad to see something like this happen to such a young person,” she added.
