The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, on which the port of Arrecife depends, has approved the award to the company Electronic Trafic SA of the supply, installation and maintenance services of new access control systems in the Port of Arrecife, for an amount of 611,796.89 euros.
The Port of Arrecife in Lanzarote is a true hub of economic development for the island and will acquire even more importance in the coming years with new plans for the use of port spaces, basic expansion projects and the application of special land management plans. The port’s expansion projects are related to improving infrastructure for containers, tourist cruises and sports boating. In total, more than 3 kilometers of docking line will be exceeded.
Located in the capital of Lanzarote, Arrecife (13º318’W-28º580’N) this port was born as an eminently fishing refuge. Over time, and given the notable growth of the tourism industry on the Island, it has become the third port in the Canary Islands in terms of merchandise.
