Toni Kroos Believes in Possibility of Turnaround for German National Soccer Team Under Hansi Flick

Rio world champion Toni Kroos (33) believes that a turnaround under national coach Hansi Flick (58) is possible despite the crisis in the German national soccer team.

“I absolutely trust him to play a good tournament next year,” said Kroos in an interview with RTL / ntv: “But of course it’s important that he finds a lever through which form and self-confidence come back.”

The DFB-Elf did not live up to their claim in the end. “At the end of the day, as Germany, you also have to win games,” said Kroos, who recently renewed his contract with Real Madrid.

According to the midfield strategist, it is not due to the quality of the players that the Flick team only won once in five international matches in 2023. “I know most of the guys and they are significantly better than the results that came out recently,” said Kroos.

Kroos resigned from the national team after the round of 16 at the EM 2021. He rules out a comeback.
