The apartments that the Chengdu Universiade Village delegation stayed in were disassembled and rebuilt from the four-person dormitory of Chengdu University. The Universiade Village residential area is divided into three areas, A, B, and C. There are 10 apartments in total, with 6,522 rooms and a maximum capacity of about 11,000 people. The area of each room is about 21 to 25 square meters. Considering the height of the athletes, all the beds in the Universiade Village are designed with a length of 2 meters, and can be extended to about 2.3 meters by adding a stool at the end of the bed. This “assembled” bed will not only provide a resting place for athletes during the Universiade, but also can be reassembled into a combination bed structure for college students after the event, realizing the long-term use of resource recycling.
