Thailand eliminated from the FIVB Challenger Cup 2023 competition after losing to hosts Qatar at the Aspire Ladies Sports Hall, Friday (28/7).
Thailand had to admit Qatar’s superiority with a landslide score of 0-3. This defeat also made Thailand enter the box in the quarter-finals.
The Qatar vs Thailand clash was tight from the first set. Qatar, which is the host, is only two points ahead when they won 26-24 in the first set.

In the second set a similar situation occurred. Qatar had indeed excelled but Thailand was able to turn around winning 13-12.
Thailand was able to maintain the lead until near the end of the second set with a score of 21-19. It’s just that Qatar was able to win the next point and after that turned around winning 23-22.
Thailand was unable to get up and had to accept the fact of losing 23-25 in the second set.
In the deciding set, Qatar immediately won 9-2 over Thailand. Even though they were far behind, the White Elephant Country team was slowly catching up.
Thailand can reduce the score to 8-10. The battle was fierce and Thailand even won 24-23 near the end of the third set.
Qatar was once again able to turn things around to win 26-24 and end the match with a score of 3-0.
