Saski Baskonia Signs Greek Forward Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos for Next Season

The Greek player arrives in Vitoria-Gasteiz after averaging 16 valuation credits in the first league in Turkey.

Saski Baskonia has acquired the services of Greek forward Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos with an agreement for the next three seasons. Rogkavopoulos, born in Maroussi, Greece on June 27, 2001, comes to the Vitoria entity after serving last season at Merkezefendi, a team with which he averaged 15.7 points and 16 PIR credits in the Turkish league.

The 2.01 meter forward, international with Greece, began his professional career at AEK Athens in the 2018-19 season. At the Greek club, Nikos stayed for three courses before signing for Prometheas Patras in the 2021-22 season, with whom he played in the EuroCup. In the European competition, the new Barça player averaged 8.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 12 PIR credits in the 16 games he played.

During this campaign, Maroussi’s exterior has been one of the most outstanding youngsters in the entire Turkish first league. In addition, Rogkavopoulos has played this past season 2022-23 in the qualifying phase of the Basketball World Cup with the Greek team, averaging 18 points and 21 valuation credits between the two games.
