National soccer player Marcel Halstenberg from DFB Cup winner RB Leipzig was absent from the start of training for the national team on Wednesday. As the club announced, the 31-year-old is free for contract talks with another club and is therefore not training with the team. According to media reports, the left-back is about to move to second division side Hannover 96.

New signing Lois Openda, who came from RC Lens, will only arrive in Leipzig on Wednesday evening and will travel with the team to the training camp in South Tyrol on Thursday. Striker Alexander Sörloth, who was last loaned to Real Sociedad from San Sebastian, is not yet with the team and should follow in the coming days.
