Marc Márquez has toured Madrid at the wheel of a Honda Civic TypeR powered by 100% renewable Repsol fuel, an action designed to publicize the positive impact of these fuels that will enter the 2024 World Cup and which are one of the pillars of the national multi-energy company.
During his trip, Márquez made several stops in which he invited passers-by to get into the car so they could see first-hand what renewable fuels represent and have a relaxed chat.
The journey was made through the main enclaves and emblematic places of the capital of Spain, such as the Puerta de Alcalá, the Plaza de Colón, the Paseo de la Castellana, the Plaza de Cibeles or the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, a route that It started at the service station that the multi-energy company has in ‘Mercamadrid’, as it is one of the first in Spain to supply 100% renewable fuel.
In addition to talking about these fuels and their imminent implementation in the MotoGP World Championship in 2024 with a fuel that will contain at least 40 percent of non-fossil origin, the Catalan rider’s companions were also able to talk with him about other issues such as his training routines or other curiosities.

In this sense, the Repsol Honda rider is playing a fundamental role for his team in the development of renewable fuel for MotoGP. In fact, a few months ago, the man from Cervera carried out the first test with this new fuel on a Honda RC213V-S at the Jarama circuit in Madrid, where he completed 12 laps and was able to share his opinion with the company’s engineers to continue advancing in the development of renewable fuel for the 2024 World Cup.
