Lee So-hee (29, Incheon International Airport) and Baek Ha-na (22, MG Saemaul Geumgo), the Korean badminton women’s doubles signs, won the 2023 MBN Women’s Sports Awards June Best Player Award (MVP).

Lee So-hee and Baek Ha-na, second in the badminton women’s doubles world ranking, won the women’s doubles final at the 2023 Indonesia Open Badminton Championships held in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 18th of last month.

Lee So-hee and Baek Ha-na, who started working together in October of last year, have participated in 15 competitions and advanced to the finals 10 times, and have also advanced to the semifinals 14 times in 15 competitions. He showed off his perfect breath with steady performance, including being runner-up four times, and recently raised his world ranking to second place.

Immediately after the awards ceremony held at the Jincheon National Training Center in North Chungcheong Province, the two expressed their impressions of the award, saying, “It is a great honor to receive such a good award.”

We highly appreciated the fact that we lifted our 3rd trophy of the season and climbed to 2nd place in the world rankings 8 months after the partnership was formed,” he said, revealing the reason for the two MVP selections.
