PAUPISI – Palio delle Contrade, Palio of Cecatiello and Hot Air Balloon Ride at the Festival of Flavors

There is about a month left before the start of the “Festival of Flavors and Street Artists – 50th Sagra del Cecatiello” scheduled for 25-26-27-28 and 30 August 2023 in Paupisi, a pretty village in the Benevento area at the foot of Taburno, and we are already working hard to ensure that everything is ready for the 5-day event.
There are many initiatives that revolve around the event that cuts the half century of life organized by the Pro Loco of Paupisi in synergy with the Municipality of Paupisi and with the patronage of the Campania Region, Municipality of Fragneto Monforte, Santa Maria del Bosco parish, Gal Taburno, Coldiretti, CIA, Taburno-Camposauro Regional Park, Provincial Unpli, ‘Club Aerostatico Wind & Fire’, ‘Moto Club Legio Linteata-Benevento’ , association ‘Trekking Camposauro’, ‘Arcieri del Sannio’, ‘Terre Magiche Sannite’ Foundation, ‘Motomaniaci’ and Rete Destinazione Sud.
An innovative Festival, full of many cultural and musical events where the cecatiello will, as always, be the undisputed King of the event.
Today Dario Orsillopresident of the Pro Loco paupisana presents the first two collateral initiatives at the 50th edition of the Festival and which will certainly give added value to the event: the Hot Air Balloon Ride and the Palio delle Contrade – Palio del Cecatiello both scheduled for Saturday 26 August in Paupisi starting at 17.00.
“The hot air balloon ride – says Orsillo – is an attraction that will be held at the Municipal Sports Field located in via Vignali and is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Fragneto Monforte and with the ‘Club Areostatico Wind & Fire’ association, which we sincerely thank for their availability. The safe lifting of the balloon for those who will experience it, will give everyone the opportunity, free of charge, to experience the thrill of ascending to the sky and to admire, for a few minutes, the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Given the numerous requests for this type of attraction, reservations are required either via social networks or by calling the number 328.3773867 directly and block the time of the tour.
The Palio delle Contrade, now in its fourth edition, however – continues Orsillo – will see the teams of the Pagani, Castiello, Cirasiello, Manderisi, Bascio Vallone and San Pietro districts competing for the Palio of Cecatiello. The program includes at 17.00, in via Luigi Sturzo, the archery tournament with professional athletes who will be combined with the 6 Contrade. The event is organized in collaboration with the a.sd “Arcieri del Sannio” which we thank for their availability. At 18.30 there will be the awards ceremony and at 19.00 there will be the opening of the food and wine stands with about 15 evening shows located in various parts of the country.
