Al Nassr Suffers Heavy Defeat to Celta Vigo in Pre-Season Match, Cristiano Ronaldo Makes Debut

KOMPAS.com – Al Nassr lost badly to Celta Vigo in pre-season in Portugal. In that match, Cristiano Ronaldo started with his new signing, Marcelo Brozovic.

Al Nassr, reinforced by Cristiano Ronaldo, had a test match against Spanish club Celta Vigo.

The Celta Vigo vs Al Nassr match was held at the Algarve Stadium, Faro, Portugal, on Tuesday (18/7/2023) in the morning WIB.

Against Celta Vigo, Al Nassr lowered his best composition including the superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Brazilian attacking midfielder, Anderson Talisca, also started in the match Al Nassr vs Celta Vigo.

Meanwhile, Marcelo Brozovic, who was brought in from Inter Milan, made his unofficial debut with his new club.

Despite fielding key players including Ronaldo, Al Nassr lost with a landslide score of 0-5 to Celta Vigo.

Celta Vigo’s five goals were all scored in the second half after they replaced all of their starters.

Celta striker from Norway, Jorgen Strand Larsen, scored three times against Al Nassr in the 62nd, 73rd and 75th minutes respectively.

Gael Alonso scored two other Celta goals in the 57th minute and Miguel Rodriguez in the 71st minute.

Celta scored five goals after Al Nassr defender Abdulelah Al Amri was sent off in the 52nd minute.

For Celta Vigo, the match against Al Nassr was their first pre-season trial match.

Meanwhile, this is Al Nassr’s third test match after facing two Portuguese clubs, Alverca and SC Farense.

In the previous two trial matches, Al Nassr won 2-0 over Alverca and beat Farense 5-1.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo did not play in the match against Alverca and Farense because he defended the Portugal national team in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
