After his semi-final in Hamburg, Arthur Fils joins the Top 50 of the ATP rankings

After his semi-final last week in Hamburg, lost to Alexander Zverev (6-2, 6-4), Arthur Fils joined the Top 50 of the ATP rankings (47th) on Monday thanks to a jump of 24 places. His friend and compatriot Luca Van Assche, who stopped in the quarter-finals in Germany, climbed 9 places to reach 68th place. At 19, the two Frenchmen are the youngest players in the world Top 100, still dominated by Carlos Alcaraz (he is 20 years old).

German Alexander Zverev, who won his first title in Hamburg since 2021 by beating Fils and Van Assche, gained three places and now ranks 16th.

Winner of the ATP 250 tournament in Umag (Croatia) on Sunday, Australian Alexei Popyrin made the biggest comeback of the week with a gain of 33 places, which brings him to 57th in the world. Beaten in the final, the Swiss Stan Wawrinka returned to the Top 50 (49th) by climbing 23 places.
