Tunisian Ons Jabeur suffers but reaches the round of 16

World No.7 Ons Jabeur needed three sets to qualify for the round of 16 at Roland-Garros 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 against Serbian qualifying Olga Danilovic on Saturday night. For a place in the quarter-finals, the 28-year-old Tunisian will face the American Bernarda Pera (36). After two disputed sets, Jabeur quickly took off in the decisive round, 4 games to 1, double break. Danilovic unbroken once but twisted her right ankle in the next game and ended up losing the last two games and losing in just over two hours. Titled in Charleston in early April on American clay, Jabeur could not really express himself during the European season on ocher because of a left calf injury that occurred in the semi-finals in Stuttgart. She then had to give up on the Madrid tournament, of which she was defending champion, and fell on entry to Rome (against Badosa).
