Team Ability La, Marmora, Francesco Verrengia takes home the gold from Palermo – Newsbiella.it

Francesco Verrengia, the Paralympic Judo athlete of the La Marmora Gymnastics Society who, after having won the silver medal in an international meeting in early May with which he was not particularly satisfied, wanted to reward all his supporters on Sunday in Palermo with a gold medal.

In fact Francesco who competes in the – 66 kg category ardently wanted to demonstrate his ability to hold the race especially in view of the Absolute Championships which will take place on June 24 in Ostia. The master Luca Valeri of the Gattinara judo who trains him was satisfied, together with the whole team that follows him, because not only did Francesco deservedly win in his category but he was awarded as the best judoka of the event.

Great happiness for the result especially among the youngsters who train with him in preparation for the competitions. This result will ensure that our great athlete from the La Marmora Team Ability section approaches with greater confidence the convocation for the most important appointment of the year, the European Championships which will take place in September in Padua, together with his partner team Martina Tomba.
