At 38, we necessarily imagined the possibility of retirement, but the King finally meant that we would see him on the court in 2023/2024. Still formidable on the courts, LeBron seemed rather inclined to continue his journey in the NBA beyond the current offseason. However, Sian Cotton, a longtime friend of the King, expressed a doubtful opinion in the columns of Yahoo Sports :
I hope he doesn’t retire, of course, but I think it’s really on his mind. I think he is in full conscience and that he thinks about it seriously.
Obviously, such a statement only sows a little more doubt in the minds of Lakers fans. Following his updates on his future, Bron had monopolized everyone’s attention and was making headlines all over the place. Sian Cotton’s suspicions therefore risk shaking the canvas, but another classmate has come to temper this whole situation with another much more measured opinion.
