Stéphane Demol, heroic scorer against the USSR in Mexico 86, died

Sad news for the Belgian round ball, Stephane Demol died this Thursday at the age of 57 according to information from the DH. The former Anderlechtois was the author of the famous goal of qualification of Red Devils against the USSR at the 1986 World Cup. Reconverted as a coach later, Demol will not have had the same success as in his playing career. Deputy of Dominique D’Onofrio au Standard in 2005 and then Roger Vandereycken at the Red Devils in 2006, he had finished his career with Sharks in the Saudi Premier League in 2015.
