Suat Serdar beckons to remain in the German upper house after being relegated to the Bundesliga with Hertha BSC. According to information from the ‘kicker’, ex-club Mainz 05 are interested in the 26-year-old midfielder.
Serdar switched from Rheinhessen to FC Schalke in 2018 for eleven million euros, before going to Berlin three years later for eight million. In addition to Mainz, the Turkish champions Galatasaray are said to have kept an eye on Serdar.
Three prospects for Piatek
Hertha also hopes to generate transfer income by selling top earner Krzysztof Piatek. According to ‘kicker’, La Liga side FC Girona, Serie A promoted side FC Genoa and former loan club US Salernitana are all up for the striker.
The Italian first division club, for which Piatek collected nine points in 33 appearances (four goals, five assists), has a ten million euro purchase option until June 15. Salernitana will probably not pull this, but may start new negotiations.
