After relegation, Ried continues to rely on coach Senft

Even after being relegated from the Admiral Bundesliga, SV Ried continues to rely on coach Maximilian Senft. The 33-year-old has extended his contract with the Innviertel team, who are committed to the second division next season, by two years until the end of the 2024/25 season. The club announced this on Monday. “Max Senft is the ideal coach for the realignment based on our two-year plan,” emphasized SVR Sport Director Wolfgang Fiala.

Together they will make the necessary changes to bring the club back into the Bundesliga. “We start with changing the culture in the training center, introducing an SVR game idea and the appropriate squad planning,” said Fiala. Senft described it as a “great privilege” to go into the next two years as Ried coach.

“With aggressive forward defence, courageous attacking football and an unstoppable thirst for success, we want to embody Rieder’s original values on the pitch and, together with our fans, become a home power again,” said Senft, setting out the route.

A lot of hard work awaits along the way. “I’m full of energy to ignite a new fire together with the people in and around the club,” said the Viennese. Rieder ended the season at the bottom of the qualifying group, five points behind penultimate SCR Altach.
