Raiders Star Davante Adams Cleared of Assault Charge by Kansas City Court

The physical assault charge brought against Las Vegas Raiders star receiver Davante Adams last October has been dropped by a Kansas City court.

Adams had bumped into a freelance photographer working for ESPN, identified by police as Ryan Zebley last October 10 in the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Monday Night’s NFL game.

A Kansas City City Court spokesperson told the Kansas City Star on Friday that a prosecutor dismissed the charge on June 5 and the case is now closed.

Reports say Zebley suffered a lot of headaches and a possible minor concussion from the incident. He is currently suing Adams in addition to the Raiders and Chiefs.

The star player apologized after the game, saying the shoving “was just frustration mixed with [Zebley] literally running in front of him.

The 30-year-old athlete’s attorney did not comment on the matter on Friday.
