Radio Havana Cuba | Ninth consecutive success for Leñadores in Cuban baseball

Havana, May 16 (JIT) – The Leñadores de Las Tunas defeated the Huracanes de Mayabeque, with a score of 10×4, and concluded the qualifying phase of the National Baseball Series with a record of 43-32.

Havana, Jun 5 (ACN).- In another day of heavy rain and several suspended games, Las Tunas beat Pinar del Río 7-6 on Sunday and signed its ninth consecutive victory in the 62nd National Baseball Series, which is going through its thirteenth particular subseries.

The Leñadores from Las Tunas had today the efficient wood of their third baseman Yordanis Alarcón, enrolled in another excellent season. He went 2 for 4, including a home run and two RBIs.
