Diversamente in Campus: Promoting Inclusion Through Outdoor Play and Sports Activities

It’s called “Diversamente in Campus” and its aim is to allow children and young people of all ages to be able to carry out outdoor play and sporting activities such as treasure hunting, stealing the flag, judo and boxing with the support and constant supervision of volunteers.

The main objective is to eliminate any type of diversity, allowing for collaboration and play between disabled and non-disabled children and teenagers, in the spirit of inclusion.

The appointment is set for Saturday 1 July from 3 to 8 pm on the campus of the “G. D’Annunzio” university in Chieti.

The event is organized by the Asio association founded on 22 December 2022 by young boys united by the desire to bring support and entertainment to the pediatric and geriatric wards, as well as in the reception facilities for minors.

The board of directors of the association is composed of Ylenia Della Rocca, president of the association, Federica Di Ninno (vice president), Roberta Szymanski (secretary) and Micaela Cesta (treasurer). The other founding members are: Ilaria Bruni, Laura Di Marco and Mario Cesta.

The purpose of the association is to organize meetings with hospital patients, especially paediatrics and geriatrics (as has already been done in February in the pediatrics department of the Pescara hospital), but also in reception centres. Our aim is to bring joy and fun, lightening daily life with entertainment and psychological support activities, also thanks to the joy of our Disney superheroes and characters.
