Disappointing Start for Erler and Miedler in Mallorca, but Oswald Shines

The trip to the holiday island of Mallorca was not worth the trip for Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler.

The ÖTV double duo had to admit defeat in two sets 3: 6, 2: 6 after less than an hour in the first round of the Indian-South African pairing Yuki Bhambri / Lloyd Harris on Tuesday afternoon.

In the coming week, the two Austrians will try their luck for the first time in the main Wimbledon competition.

Things are going better for Philipp Oswald on Mallorca: The Vorarlberger wins in the first round alongside Dutchman Robin Haase 6: 7 (4), 6: 3, 10: 8 in the match tiebreak against the French Sadio Doumbia / Fabien Reboul.
