As in Berlin, Caroline Garcia qualifies for the quarter-finals in Eastbourne

After a complicated season on clay and a defeat in the second round of Roland-Garros, Caroline Garcia has regained her confidence since the start of the season on grass. After reaching the quarter-finals in Berlin last week, the world number 5 repeated the performance on Wednesday in Eastbourne.

Opposed to the Romanian Ana Bogdan in the second round, the French, seeded number 2 of the tournament, won in two sets: 6-4, 6-3. She was able to rely on the qualities of her service (7 aces, no service game lost and four break points saved) to easily win the match.

In the quarters, Caroline Garcia will find the Russian Daria Kasatkina, 11th in the world. Their last meeting dates back to the group stage of the Masters in Forth Worth, Texas. Garcia then won in three sets (4-6, 6-1, 7-6), before winning the tournament.
