Amon-Ra St. Brown: Detroit Lions’ Up-and-Coming Star Sets Sights on Super Bowl Victory

Amon-Ra St. Brown is aiming for the big prize next season with the Detroit Lions.

“We want to win the Super Bowl,” said the 23-year-old German-American to “SID” confidently on the sidelines of a training camp with his older brother Equanimeous (26 / Chicago Bears) in Cologne.

Detroit Lions: Amon-Ra St. Brown having a strong 2022 season

Wide receiver St. Brown, who had six touchdowns on 106 passes caught and gained 1,161 yards last season, didn’t want to say anything about his personal goals: “I’ll keep them to myself.” After his strong 2022/23 season, however, he should be aiming for records in all three categories (touchdowns, catches, space gain).

The fact that 16 other receivers were selected before him in the 2021 NFL draft still rankles St. Brown – even if the 112th pick is ahead of the competition in terms of statistics.

“I will never forget the receivers that were drafted before me,” said the pass recipient. He will “always remember the other professionals, I wrote them in my book.”
