Brian Cubré y Abiel Osoriotwo of the former footballers of Velez who are in house arrest due to the rape complaint against them by a journalist from Tucumán, gave their version of what happened to the press for the first time. Both are in a private neighborhood of the provincial capital, under police custody, like José Florentín, the Paraguayan who is also involved.

They decided to speak after the complainant’s public appearance. They assured that everything that happened in the hotel room was consensitized. Remember: the archer Jose Sosaalso disengaged from Fortín, is the only one of the four who is on parole.

The interview

Braian Cufré: The complaint we found was a very hard blow. I never imagined something like this would happen. At the time, I didn’t think about going out to clarify anything, to say anything because I understood that there was a process that had to be investigated. And today, after more than two months that this happened and that there is a lot of evidence involved and given the note that we saw, we are accused of something very serious and it is really something that It didn’t happen like that. You have friends, family, and seeing so many media outlets saying so many things when that’s not the case is hard. Today I did feel the need to go out and talk because one loses a lot along the way. I’m talking to you about family, which is the main thing; of work, many things that hurt a lot.

Journalist: what they feel?

Abiel Osorio: We feel anguish because of what the people who accuse us show. It gives anguish because of what they don’t really show. They want to justify issues that in common sense, without being a lawyer, you realize. Here there were messages before and after the fact. There are images, there are videos of the hotel and there are things that do not match what was reported. No one here did anything without anyone’s consent. All parties were there and nothing happened.

Journalist: How did you know the complainant?

Safe: No, the truth is that I didn’t know her. Yes, it is true that two or three days after we traveled to Tucumán, this girl had sent me messages on Instagram and I never responded to them. And in fact, the day we played against Atlético Tucumán, I think it was after the game, when we got on the bus, that she sent me another message, to which I did not respond again. That’s what I can tell you. I have nothing more to tell you because later it is true that she had that conversation with Sebastián and she knew that we were in the room having something very calmly.

Journalist: She says that in the mixed zone you looked at her, they laughed, and that Sosa sent her a message saying: ‘I found you.’ Is that so?

Safe: Yes, I didn’t see it. I can’t tell you more than that. I always sit in front of the bus. I didn’t see who’s behind it. From what I understand it was like that.

Journalist: Did they know that Sosa had invited her to the hotel?

Safe: We knew that Sebastián had told her to bring friends because the idea was to have a good time, nothing more. It was something very calm. Chat, have a drink, nothing bad ever happened in there.

Journalist: Braian, did you have physical contact with her?

Safe: No, look, what I had to say I already said to a judge. I can’t answer this here. What I had to say I said before a judge, I said what happened. Everything that happened there was consensual. Nothing happened without her wanting it. What happened in there was all consensual.

Journalist: How have you experienced the hearings?

Safe: The truth is that from day 1 we were available, the day they set the date at Cámara Gesell, we came voluntarily and found that they left us detained. We left passport, we left cell phone with the (unlocking) code, we left documents, we left everything. Here it is not about finding their truth, our truth. Here is a truth and it is what happened that night.

Journalist: what is the truth? What is the version you have?

Osorio: No, well, the truth is that we don’t drug anyone, as I see people saying around there. We didn’t… we didn’t force anyone against his will that night. I trust in God. I trust in the Tucumán Justice and I hope that this is resolved as soon as possible.

Journalist: If you had her here in front of you, would you say something to her?

Safe: I don’t hold a grudge against him. Not at all. I don’t know why she did this. Sincerely I dont know. I don’t understand. I don’t know what they’re looking for. There is not much more to do because as I already told you we lost everything. I don’t understand what they are looking for. She wouldn’t tell him anything. I hope everything comes to light and people know how things were. And may this help to ensure that something like this does not happen again.

Osorio: Same thing, I don’t hold any grudges against her. The truth is, as Braian said, we trust in Justice and we trust that this will come out as soon as possible.

Journalist: Anything else you want to add?

Safe: What I told you, we are at the complete disposal of Justice, for whatever it may be, for whatever it may be. We are going to collaborate, we are going to agree to everything, because we want this to be clarified and this nightmare to end.
