Kuleba: ‘Russia will lose this war and pay for its crimes’

Any foreign peace initiative is welcome, as long as it does not involve territorial concessions to Russia – which “will lose this war” – or a way out of the conflict without lasting peace. He repeated it from Guatemala, where the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is visiting. “Formula or initiative – he said – we are ready to discuss it, if it respects two principles. Firstly, it must not provide for concessions of Ukrainian territory to Russia. Furthermore, it must not lead to a frozen conflict instead of peace”. According to Ukrinform reports, he insisted, these are “two fundamental principles”, two “fairly rational” premises. “I have appealed to all countries to take this into account in their considerations”, added the head of Kiev’s diplomacy, repeating that so far the best plan is the one presented by the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. “Russia will lose this war – he continued – Russia will pay for the crimes committed in Ukraine. The countries of Latin America must develop a foreign policy taking this into account”.
