Ugo Coussaud still at the forefront

Author of his third consecutive card under par, Ugo Coussaud moved up to fifth position on the eve of the last lap. Pierre Pineau and Benjamin Hébert join the top 20

The new course record set this Friday at 66 (-6) did not last long. He will even have been beaten twice in this third round of the UAE Challenge. Second halfway through, Manuel Elvira took control with his excellent 65 (-7) where only bogey at 16 came to tarnish his card.

But his new dolphin did even better. Max Rottluff, who is playing his first tournament of the season, returned a sensational 63 (-9). With his nine birdies of the day, the German completely revived and came back to within two lengths of the leading man. Ivan Cantero Gutierrezthird, is four points away.

Ugo Coussaud still on the pace

Sept birdies, trois bogeys : Ugo Coussaud returned his best card of the week with this 68 (-4). This third day under par places the leader of the Road to Mallorca in fifth place six strokes behind Elvira. Angoumoisin is about to sign a new very good performance. As a reminder, his worst result this season was 21st place (in Duncan Taylor Black Bull Challenge March 26).

He was joined in the top 15 by Pierre Pineau et Benjamin Hebert. With their card of 68 and 69 (-3), the two Frenchmen moved up to 15th place, three points behind their compatriot.

After a complicated day (+3), Mathieu Decottignies-Lafon fell in the standings and shares 45th position (-1) with Clement Berardo. Martin Couvra et Victor Riu (+1, 51st) follow in the standings.
