There are already champions of the Top Master Final Under 19 and Under 15 held in Huelva

The homegrown players of the IES La Orden Badminton Club Álvaro Morán and David Carvajal have been the great winners of the Top Master Final U15 and U19 contested at the Palacio de los Deportes Carolina Marín last weekend.

The people from Huelva, who started as favorites to win the podium, met all expectations. Morán, current number 1 in the national rankingwas crowned individual Under 19 champion and won silver in mixed doubles together with his Ibizan partner Paula Llavero, while Carvajal was proclaimed double champion of the individual, after defeating the number 1 and 2 seeds in the semifinal and in the final, and the Under 15 men’s doubles with Asier Torres from Almeria.

Regarding the female participation, the protagonists were Sofía García double gold in IF and DF together with her sister María García, both from Pitius, Cristina Teruel, a player from Almería of the Huelva Badminton Sports Club, individual champion Under 19, and the athlete from Benalmádena Rocío Martín, champion of mixed doubles Under 19 together with Jesús Burgos, from Oviedo, and women’s doubles with Ángela Jiménez, from La Unión.

Also notable in the Under 15 category was the gold in DX by the duo formed by the athletes from Hoyo de Manzanares and Leganés Pablo Sanz and Polina Prykhodko, as well as the 2 silvers and the bronze achieved by the Badminton Club player Infante Raúl Hernández in IM, in DM with Félix Sanz, from CB Aspe, and in DX with Alica Brao, of the towers. In Sub 19, the CB AS player Neves Basilio Porto and his teammate from Teulada Ginés Vallés won gold in DM.

Good organization

The organization of the tournament, in charge of the IES La Orden Badminton Club and the Spanish Badminton Federation, in collaboration with the Huelva City Council and the Andalusian Badminton Federation, has been a complete success.
