tvOnenews.com – Indonesian sprinter Lalu Muhammad Zohri is confirmed to withdraw from the men’s 100 meter final at the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia.

Then Zohri missed the 2023 SEA Games final due to an injury to his leg.

Zohri was supposed to appear in the competition at Morodok Techo National Stadium, Phnom Penh, Friday (12/5/2023) at 16:50 WIB.

Head Men’s Sprint Coach Eni Nuraeni explained Zohri suffered an injury while warming up ahead of appearing in the 200 meter number which was the opening number at the 2023 SEA Games, Monday (8/5/2023).

However, with motivational support from official coaches and colleagues on the national athletics team, the athlete from West Nusa Tenggara also continued to appear in the men’s 4×100 meter relay, Wednesday (10/3/2023).

As a result, Zohri together with Bayu Kertanegara, Wahyu Setiawan, and Sudirman Hadi won the gold medal after recording a time of 39.11 seconds. Then Zohri beat Thailand, known as the king of the men’s 4×100 meter relay in the previous five editions of the SEA Games.
