The words of Joan Peñarroya after the elimination of Baskonia

Joan Peñarroya appeared at a press conference to analyze the defeat and consequent elimination of Baskonia from the Endesa League Playoffs.

«I want to congratulate Joventut de Badalona because I think they have been better than us in this Playoff series. Our games against them mark our season a bit. The three games, the Cup and these two in the quarterfinals, make us end with a great feeling of disappointment. It must be recognized that they have been better and that they have mastered some facets of the game that in this type of match gives you advantages. We have not been able to be the team that we have been for many months of the year.

We have started the game with an exchange of baskets. Then some mistake of ours has made six go up. It is true that in 3Q we have done well and we have put ourselves ahead, but the rebound has been a scourge. I think they had 12 offensive rebounds in the second half and we had 9 on defense. That has decanted the party. Difficult to assess more deeply, this is a disappointment for us, not having been able to compete better.
