The Provincial Council of Soria Closes the 2022-2023 School Sports Program

The Soria Provincial Council has closed the 2022-2023 School Games season, today, May 19, at 6:00 p.m., in the Aula Magna Tirso de Molina.

The School Sports program for the 2022-2023 season has included 3 days of badminton, 4 days of cross-country, 3 days of track athletics, 4 days of juniors, 6 days of juveniles, 3 days of individual sports, and 10 days of collective sports. All this, in 31 sports days.

A total of 1,469 schoolchildren have participated, from 17 towns in the province, 20 participating entities and 94 teams including youngest children, juveniles, children and cadets.

In the closing ceremony, the president of the Provincial Council, Benito Serrano, praised the duty of public administrations “to guarantee the practice of sport among young people by promoting sport, health, and the importance of believing in sporting values ​​with special attention to fair play as a reference for personal and vital development”, he pointed out.

The schoolchildren have collected the trophies in an act that has ended with the family photograph.

Likewise, the Soria Provincial Council has recalled that tomorrow, May 20, starting at 11:00 a.m., in Quintana Redonda, there will be an intense day of sports with the final of the Women’s Provincial Cup, in the morning, at 11:30 a.m. between San Esteban and San José B.

Interpueblos soccer 11, between San Pedro and Duruelo takes place at 4:15 p.m., and Interpueblos futsal, at 6:00 p.m., between Ágreda and Berlanga de Duero. At 18:30 the final of the Men’s Provincial Cup will be played between Quintana and Calasanz.

The awards ceremony for each match will take place at the end of each tournament.
