The Kirolife project by Igor González de Galdeano fails in Bilbao in the contest to find a solution for the bottle cage

The ‘Sip on cycle’ solution from the Politeknika Txorierri center in Derio has won the first Machining Meets Cycling by Ceratizit contest, promoted by the Kirolife project of former cyclist Igor González de Galdeano, to find a solution for bicycle bottle cages.

The young winners of Politeknika Txorierri have collected their prize, a course at the Ceratizit Technical Center in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) and a voucher for Ceratizit tools, at an event in Bilbao with the presence of Igor González de Galdeano and the former champion Olympian Samuel Sanchez.

Politeknika Txorierri was the best of the eight Hetel centers, an association of professional training centers, in the Basque Country that have participated in this edition, where they had to find a mechanical solution for the bottle cages of professional cyclists.

Samuel Sánchez highlighted that sports such as cycling convey values ​​that, in the long run, “are valuable in the world of work and projects like these enrich all the participating parties”. “Congratulations to all the participants because you have surprised me with your designs and it has been very difficult to choose a single winner,” said Sánchez.
