On May 6, 2023, the coronation of Charles III and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles took place. Via their YouTube account, the Prince and Princesses of Wales shared a moving behind-the-scenes video of this historic event. The film captures the jubilant atmosphere of the celebration and shows William and Kate meeting many fans outside Buckingham Palace the day before the coronation. We also discover Prince William and Kate in full preparation at Kensington Palace with their children Prince George (9 years old), Princess Charlotte (8 years old), and Prince Louis (5 years old).
The royal couple can be seen wearing their stunning Royal Victorian coats, and Kate also sported her white Alexander McQueen dress. The family then leaves the palace to travel to Westminster Abbey in a golden horse-drawn carriage, alongside thousands of members of the armed forces and Buckingham Palace.
William, Kate and their children are then seen on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with other members of the royal family after the coronation ceremony. Members of the royal family and the tens of thousands of people gathered outside the palace were then treated to the traditional flyover by the Red Arrows.
