Pilar Jáuregui won two bronze medals in Thailand

The outstanding Pilar Jáuregui, who is a member of the Athlete Support Program (PAD) of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), once again raised the name of our country high, after obtaining two bronze medals at the Thailand Para Badminton International 2023, which was held between May 9 and 14 in Pattaya, Thailand.

In the WH2 singles, our compatriot put up a tough fight and reached the last place on the podium, after falling in the semifinals 24-26 and 14-21 against Li Hongyan from China, who was second. The first place went to the also representative of that country, Liu Yutong.

While in Mixed WH1 – WH2, the Peruvian, together with her usual partner, the Italian Yuri Ferrigno, took third place, after losing in the semifinals 15-21 and 18-21 against Ho Yuen Can (China). and Man Kei (Belgium).

Other Peruvians who were present at the event were Giuliana Poveda, Pedro Pablo de Vinatea, Rubí Fernández, Nilton Quispe, Jesús Salva, Diana Rojas, Flor Arequipeño, Renzo Bances, Jenny Ventocilla and Jairo Aranguri.
