Teru Sone (Park 24), who won the gold medal at the Judo World Championships (Doha) in the women’s class of over 78 kg, and the winning members of the mixed team returned to Narita Airport on the 16th. Sone, who has advanced to the Paris Olympics next year’s national team, said with a gentle smile, “I was determined to win the championship and connect it to the next one. I can become stronger.”

The 22-year-old Tokyo Olympic queen, who had surgery on her left knee in March last year, won five matches and appealed for her comeback. Her recovery was 60 to 70%, and she tightened her expression, saying, “I will make her the best condition.”
