At the 17th National Disabled Students Sports Festival, a festival for dreamers with disabilities, Gyeonggi-do built up a monumental achievement by winning the most medals for 9 consecutive times with the best performance ever.

Gyeonggi-do won a total of 188 medals with 80 gold medals, 61 silver medals, and 47 bronze medals at this event, which ended on the 19th in Ulsan Metropolitan City on the 4th day. 37 Gold, 47 Silver, 47 Bronze, and 40) easily won first place.

This is the record for the most gold medals, far exceeding the 59 gold medals recorded by Gyeonggi-do in the 12th competition in 2018, and the highest record ever, 21 more than the total number of medals in the 13th competition in 2019 (167).

In Gyeonggi-do, basketball, badminton, boccia, swimming, rowing, soccer, table tennis, e-sports, and floorball ranked first, followed by goalball second and weightlifting third, in 11 events out of 16 participating events. I achieved even grades to win the prize.

In addition, Suyeong’s Kim Jin-heon (Yongin City Federation) and Yeo Eun-byeol (Uijeongbu Hoeryong Middle School) won 5 gold medals, the most in the competition, and Hwang Shin (Suyeong-Gyeonggi-do Federation) won 4 crowns, 6 3 crowns, 14 2 crowns, etc. A total of 23 winners were produced.

On the final day of Gyeonggi Province, swimmer Kim Jin-heon won the men’s 50m butterfly S14 (medium) with a time of 32.07 seconds, followed by the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:21.01, adding a gold medal to 5 crowns, and Hwang Shin-eun the women’s 100m breaststroke S14 (elementary/middle). At 1:53:44, she was the first to hit the touchpad, and won her fourth gold medal.

Men’s 50m butterfly S14 (sec) Lee Do-geon (Christian Volunteer Society) took first place with a time of 44:03, and men’s 100m breaststroke S14 (sec) Mun Mun-hwi (Yongin City Federation) also won the championship with a time of 1:30:60.

Meanwhile, Incheon Metropolitan City won a total of 59 medals (26 gold medals, 24 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals), ranking 5th, one step higher than the original goal. In addition, Baek Doo-hwan and Lee Do-eun (Yeonil School) in weightlifting, Hong Jin-wook (Yeonsu High School) in swimming won three gold medals, and six people, including two gold medals and three others, won multiple gold medals.
