Rome – After a very strong resistance in the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, Julia Grabher just missed a big surprise on Sunday. The 26-year-old from Vorarlberg only lost to the clearly favored world number ninth Darja Kasatkina from Russia after a 3:19 hour thriller with 5:7.6:4.6:7(2). Nevertheless, it was the best tournament week in Grabher’s career so far. She will appear in the top 75 for the first time in the latest WTA ranking.
