It’s almost five years since we know a new main installment in the series is in development, and this was officially confirmed by BioWare. We didn’t even know the name of the game until June 2022. And unfortunately, the wait for the RPG is going to be much longer.
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf It will not be released until after April 2024, according to the publisher EA itself. In his recent report quarterly earnings report, the company shared a list of all its titles that have already been released in fiscal year 24 (which runs until March 31, 2024) or will be out in that period, with EA Sports FC, EA Sports PGA Tour, Super Mega Baseball 4, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth, F1 23, e Immortals of Aveum. Unfortunately for fans of Dragon Age, Dreadwolf is nowhere to be found, indicating that it will be released after April 2024.
In October of last year, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf reached a major development milestone, with BioWare confirming that the project had reached alpha and was fully playable from start to finish. Most recently, the developer offered a brief glimpse into the RPG’s progression and customization systems, while leakers have also claimed that the game will feature combat of hack-and-slash based on action similar to God of War.
Furthermore, EA has also confirmed that Skate It’s also not releasing before April 2024, with the skate franchise’s reboot also omitted from its FY24 list of titles. It has been previously confirmed that Skate It will be a free-to-play title, although developer Full Circle has emphasized that it will not feature paid loot boxes or pay-to-win mechanics.
EA also mentions that it has two additional titles coming out before April 2024 that have yet to be announced, namely a racing game (which is probably the title WRC from Codemasters) and an unnamed EA Sports title.
