The purchase option for João Cancelo, who has been loaned out to FC Bayern from Manchester City until the end of the season, is 70 million euros. A high sum that Munich will hardly shell out for the full-back.
According to “Sky”, a fix obligation is “very difficult”. The player himself is probably of the same opinion. The right-footed player doesn’t expect to play for the German record champions in the coming season either.
“Nothing decided yet”
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic is more open to a commitment: “He’s a top player, technically a feast for the eyes. We’re glad we have him. We haven’t decided anything yet, we’ll do that after the season.”
Cancelo has played 19 times for the German league leaders and was involved in seven goals. In Manchester, the 28-year-old still has a contract until 2027.
