Boston won Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semi-final series in Philadelphia on Friday. The Celtics won 102-114 on the floor of the Sixers and now lead 2-1 in the series.

Sunday in the fourth act, still in Philadelphia, the Celtics may have the opportunity to break. Regular season MVP “Sixer” Joel Embiid failed to make a difference on Friday despite posting 30 points and 13 rebounds. Philly’s other star, James Harden, settled for a double-double (16 points and 11 assists, with 6 rebounds).

At the Celtics, the duo formed by Jayson Tatum (27 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists) and Jaylen Brown (23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) took the game on their own and secured the victory for Boston, which recovers the advantage of the field for the rest of the series.

Durant and Booker at the controls

In Game 3 of the Western Conference, in the absence of point guard Chris Paul (injured), Phoenix was able to count on Devin Booker (47 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds) and Kevin Durant (39 points, with 9 rebounds and 8 assists) to overcome the Denver Nuggets (121-114).

Among the Nuggets, Serbian Nikola Jokic delivered a historic performance with 30 points, 17 assists and 17 rebounds.

After losing the first two acts, the Suns thus return to 1-2 in the series and can revive definitively if they win again on their floor on Sunday.
