It is with great pride that Frédéric BADET the President of the Judo Club Blanzynois looks back on this beautiful and great weekend of judo which took place at the Jean Zay sports complex in Blanzy and which brought together more than 500 judokas over 5 days. .

The tatamis installed from Friday to accommodate 4 classes from Blanzynoises schools as part of the Olympic week organized by the municipality: 2 sessions given by Arthur REPIQUET the champion member of the France Parajudo team and Arnaud TICHY the coach of the local club where it was about sport, inclusion, education and common values.

On Saturday the club hosted two departmental events on these same tatami mats.

In the morning, the Groupe Avenir 71 which brings together the elite of Benjamins and Minimes judokas from Saône et Loire for a training course of almost 3 hours under the leadership of Johnny POTET, the departmental manager of the group. Then in the afternoon, nearly 200 young judokas took over the COSEC for the second phase of the CD71 Judo Small Tigers Crédit Agricole Centre-Est Tournament.

As a curtain raiser, an animation of the Awakening-Judo 4/5 years of the clubs of the AD71, JC Creusotin, AS St Léger judo and the JC Blanzynois.

And to end an “all categories” evening organized by JC BLANZY bringing together the Cadet / Junior / Senior Male and Female age categories. Nearly forty judokas came to do battle in an atmosphere which remained friendly, as always and which saw Mathis RAHA of the Judo Club Chalonnais win this competition in front of Clément HADJ of the Dojo Côté d’Oriens Allan CHEVILLARD of Sennecey le Grand and Arnaud TICHY the trainer of BLANZY coming to complete the podium.

Sunday, the Judo Club Blanzynois interclub kept all its promises despite the absence of a few clubs this Easter weekend with the Benjamins, Minimes, Poussins and Mini-Poussins categories 21 clubs, nearly 300 judokas all rewarded for a successful day, the judo festival took place in BLANZY after three years of absence.

At the end of this day Hervé MAZUREK, Mayor of BLANZY presented the Challenge of the City of BLANZY to the Judo Club Creusotin club 1st in the club ranking ahead of JC Blanzynois (outside the ranking) JC Chalonnais and AD71 2nd tied and AS St Léger Judo 3rd.

The Tatamis being installed, the departmental committee of Saône et Loire took the opportunity to offer on Easter Monday a departmental course for the Benjamins, minimal and Cadets supervised by Julien MAUGARD Federal Technical Advisor 71 and on Tuesday it is once again the judokas of the Group Avenir 71 who were in training to come and close these 5 days dedicated to judo in BLANZY.

Frédéric BADET President of the two entities Judo Club Blanzynois and Comité 71 judo held after this great weekend devoted to judo thanked all the actors of the various events which followed one another starting with the volunteers of the JCB and the partners of the club without whom it would be difficult to propose such a program, but also to thank the participants, supervisors, accompanying persons, teachers, elected representatives of the clubs present and finally the referees and sports commissioners who officiated throughout the weekend, all those who made this interclub 2023 was a complete success.
