SARONNO – Baseball Saronno has welcomed Francisco Fernandez, who will officially hold the role of manager (coach) of the senior team, in Serie C. Francisco, born in the Dominican Republic, played at high levels for many years in his country of origin, before moving to Italy and playing for Senago, where he also started his coaching career after retiring.
Here are his first words: “I’m very happy to be in Saronno and to be able to coach these guys, who immediately made a wonderful impression on me. I saw a united group, with a great desire to grow and learn. We’ll try to do our best from the first game of the season” Francisco in the past also spent a short time as a coach in the youth sector of Saronno Softball, he remembers well the president Massimo Rotondo: “We have already had the pleasure of working with Francisco and I am very happy that he is back with us, he is certainly a figure of great competence and professionalism, I am sure that his work will be fundamental in achieving the objectives of the first baseball team ”.
The new manager also boasts knowledge as a pitching coach, now a key figure in a baseball team; he wanted to express himself in this regard Luca Perini, Serie C pitcher and board member: “It’s fortunate that the team is led by a multi-talented figure who also looks after the pitching part. the role of the pitcher is very important and very complicated. My fellow pitchers and I are very excited to be able to work together with Francisco, I am sure that with him we will improve a lot ”.
