Badminton: the Corsairs Tournament welcomes 200 players to Cancale this weekend

The section badminton of Cercle Jules Ferrya Saint-Malo club, is organizing the ninth edition of its “Corsairs Tournament” on the weekend of April 22 and 23.

“New this year: this inter-regional tournament and approved by the French Federation of Badminton (FFBad) will be held in Cancale”, explains the CJF Badminton in a press release.

He also points out that “this year again, it will be sold out”, having reached the maximum possible number of players.

Free for the public

The public, meanwhile, is more than welcome to attend these two days of competition for which 200 badminton players from 57 clubs in 7 regional leagues : Burgundy Franche-Comté, Brittany, Pays de la Loire, New Aquitaine, Normandy, Ile-de-France and Hauts de France.

Not less than 270 games are planned (140 on Saturday and 130 on Sunday), in 4 series going from the departmental level (D8/D9) to the national level (N2-N3) and on 5 tables (Singles Men, Singles Ladies, Doubles Ladies, Doubles Men and Mixed).

“More than 22 hours of play, 5 grams of feathers, but tons of emotion to share on this festive weekend”, invites the CJF Badminton.
