A spectacular final for the Elite-Avantis team of Club Judo-La Pocatière

The Capital zone held in Quebec (Beauport), on April 23, the last regional competition of the 2022-2023 season. The Elite Avantis Jdu Club Judo-La Pocatière team was represented by nine athletes and eight returned with a medal around their neck, including six gold.

In the U12 category, gold was won by Jules Dufresne of Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies with a perfect record for the season. In the other weight categories, Émile Bochud and Clovis Dionne de La Pocatière also escaped with the gold medal. The other three gold medals went to Léonie Anctil of Sainte-Louise, as well as Jeanne Laterreur and Heidi Lizotte of Saint-Pacôme. As for Jean-Benoît Anctil of Sainte-Louise, he won the silver medal in the U10 category, while Honoré Gilbert of Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies won the bronze medal. The judo class season ended last week for the Judo-School groups, while the judokas of the evening classes and the Elite-Avantis team will end their training on May 11th.
