Women’s National Basketball League
3/25/23 | 6:33 p.m
The Alba Berlin women’s basketball team celebrated a successful finals premiere. In the opening game of the playoffs, coach Cristo Cabrera’s team won away at Herner TC after extra time with 88:84. This puts the Berliners 1-0 up in the series, and two wins are needed to get into the semi-finals.
In a tight game, neither team managed to break away decisively during regular time. So it went into overtime with a score of 75:75 after the fourth quarter. There, the Berliners quickly fell behind by five points, but were still able to turn the game in their favor in the end.
On March 31 (7 p.m.) Alba welcomes the team from North Rhine-Westphalia for the second and possibly decisive first-round game.
