After almost four years, Fluminense landed again in Brasília. And to celebrate this reunion with its local fans and warm up for the match against Bangu, the club promoted this Friday night (03/03) a special edition of Tricolor em Toda Terra, which had illustrious presences such as the idols Washington “Coração Valente”, Marcão and Paulo Victor. More than 120 tricolors attended the event, which transformed a bar in the federal capital into a real Maracanã.
“We have to congratulate Fluminense for this event. This brings the club’s supporters, players and former players closer together. It is very important to maintain this bond, which can never end. It’s a time to rescue, approach and reconnect, to relive moments, especially for us. I just ask the club to keep these events going as it’s important for everyone,” Washington said.
Another veteran of Tricolor in Toda Terra who returned was Marcão, a tricolor idol and assistant to the club’s permanent technical commission. He once again said he was flattered by the opportunity to receive so much affection from the fans.
“Wonderful event. We are always very well received here in Brasilia. We have a beautiful history, Fluminense played a lot here in my time and it has always been like this, with this affection. It is a pleasure to be here in the city, with tricolors vibrating with the people, celebrating the good moment is the arrival of great values. This is a year of great expectations, and I am sure that with a lot of work we will be able to reach our goals”, he said.
In addition to the special appearances of the idols, there was also a lot of music, with a DJ and a show by the country duo Enzo and Rafael. There was also a raffle of official licensed products and a Sócio Futebol service desk, where the tricolors could make new subscriptions, upgrade plans and clarify doubts.
“There is no money to pay that here for us. The memory, the affection of the fan is very important. These events only have something to add, bring more fans to the club. I’m very happy to be here again, it’s not the first time. I’ve been to several editions, in Goiânia, Maranhão, Piauí. I think it’s really cool, because it’s the fraternization of the players with the fans. This is rarely seen in other clubs, this approximation with idols. This recognition is very important”, declared Paulo Victor, goalkeeper and Flu idol in the 1980s.
Also present at the event was Fluminense’s physical preparation coordinator and two-time Olympic champion with the Brazilian national team, Marcos Seixas. Accustomed to always working on games, the professional celebrated the chance to interact with the fans.
“I think the event is really cool. It’s an opportunity for us to get closer to the fans, something that doesn’t happen on a daily basis, even on game days. Here we can talk, hear a little from the fans. I think which is a very nice contact, a very nice initiative for us to interact with them”, he declared.
Fans are now looking forward to seeing Fluminense on the field again. This Saturday (04/03), the team led by coach Fernando Diniz will face Bangu, at 4 pm, at Estádio Mané Garrincha, for the tenth round of the Guanabara Cup, the qualifying phase of the Carioca Championship.
“I am passionate about Fluminense and I am very happy for this opportunity, as there are rarely games here. I decided to join today because of the event. I’m glad to be a part of this family now. I’ve already secured my spot tomorrow at the game. It will be 3-0 for us”, declared Marcos Daniel, 24 years old.
The night was unforgettable for those who had the opportunity to be so close to their idols and the club they love.
“This here is inexplicable, it’s that cliché that says that only those who feel it know what it is. For a long time we waited for this and now we are able to live. It’s surreal, really cool. Ticket for the game is purchased from the first day. It will be 3 to 0.”, said 22-year-old Ana Paula Farias from Brasilia.
