Arrecife was the venue for the sixth day of the Insular Sports Promotion Games for Badminton, specifically the Blas Cabrera Felipe, where 193 matches were held in just four hours in the Male and Female Sub15, Male and Female Sub17 and Mixed Sub19 categories.

The U15 male category was held under the Round Robin modality, all against all, with Bruno Andrés Fernández, from the Guatiza school, winning 9 of the 10 games played. With the same numbers, Jason Conti, from the improvement school, was second, while Ryan Max Torreblanca, from Puerto del Carmen, was third with 8 victories in the 10 games played.

The U15 female category was divided into two parts due to the high number of participants. First there was a group phase and the best ranked went to the final round, by elimination. Martina Negrín, from improvement, managed to prevail over Atenea Morales, from Arrecife, in the final, leaving third place, shared by Amanay Gómez and Indara Elisabeth Arrocha, both from Puerto del Carmen.

The male and female U17 categories were held under the round robin modality. Sebastián Bisaro, from Arrecife, managed to win all 7 games played, and took first place. Second was Daniel Rodríguez, from Improvement, with six victories. Third place went to Luis Hernández, from Arrecife, with 4 victories in his locker. As for the women, Ana Delgado, from Haría, won 7 of the 8 games played, as did Amaya Catharina Betancor, from Tinajo. Third was Lia Gutiérrez from Puerto del Carmen, with 6 victories.

Finally, the Sub19 Individual category, where boys and girls compete together, left Aritz Inchaurbe, from Arrecife, in first position, who won all 5 games he played. Alyssa Unwin, from Playa Honda, followed with 4 victories, while third place went to Sarah Medina, with 3.

The Lanzarote Raqueta Club is now concentrating on the First National Club Division, which will be held this coming weekend, this competition coming to Lanzarote for the first time in history.
